Mold in Sanford Home

The roof of this home came crashing down during a storm and a large amount of rainwater flooded the interior. The owners were away and called us when they were informed by a friend who was sent to check on the home for them. By the time SERVPRO of Winter Park was called a week later, mold was already growing on many of the home's furnishings and components, making this a much bigger disaster to work on.

Mold Remediation in Winter Park

This home in Winter Park had water intrusion during a storm. The owner called us a little over a week later when he and his family began smelling a strange odor. Air quality tests from a 3rd party confirmed there was a significant amount of mold growth and provided a written protocol that SERVPRO of Winter Park used in order to properly remediate.

Mold Demo and Containment in Orlando

This Orlando home was affected by black mold growth in multiple rooms. Containment was set up to prevent mold spores from traveling and affecting other areas of the home. All affected porous materials were removed and a HEPA filtered air scrubber was placed to filter the mold spores in the air.

Mold Containment During Air Scrubbing

During every mold remediation, SERVPRO will cover and seal contents with 3 mil plastic and tape. This is done for two reasons. The first reason for sealing these components is to protect them from building up dust particles as air is moved throughout the air by our HEPA 500 air scrubbers. This prevents objects from being ruined and even makes the cleaning process easier after remediation is complete. Aside from dust, sealing with plastics keeps these items and areas from being contaminated by other particles moving through the air, ensuring a more thorough air scrubbing. This improves the remediation process and results in passing a post-remediation air quality test.

Hidden Mold in Baldwin Park Bathroom

The owners of this Baldwin Park home noticed a putrid smell weeks after their toilet flooded their bathroom and called SERVPRO of Winter Park. A mold inspection and testing found mold growth behind the bathroom's baseboards which had not been removed and trapped moisture. The area was sealed off with containment and then all baseboards were removed. The mold was treated and the air was scrubbed to filter mold spores.

HEPA Vacuum in Baldwin Park

This home in Baldwin Park was affected by mold growth throughout. The photo above shows one of the HEPA filtered air scrubbers SERVPRO of Winter Park placed in the home. This machine works to filter the air in the room by forcing air through a fine mesh that traps harmful mold particles.
